We
realize that email is a vital part of Columbia life and strive to
provide the best possible support for your account. In the past year,
Columbia upgraded the mail server software and hardware to the Cyrus
program, providing more space and stable access to over 80,000
accounts. Email accounts also continue to be protected by required use
of secure protocols, automatic backups and spam and virus filtering.
Columbia email is a free service provided to faculty, staff and
students, with a lifetime email forwarding service provided for Columbia Alumni.
Columbia's mail servers
are managed by CUIT on the Morningside campus, however anyone based at CUMC with questions or issues regarding their email should contact CUbhis' Information Commons
help desk at extension 5-Help. We have the administrative access and
the information needed to troubleshoot your email, as well as knowledge
that is specific to email use at the Medical Center campus.
