SPSS Site License For Windows and Macintosh
The current license period for SPSS is June 1, 2006 to May 31, 2007.Regardless of when you purchase a current license, SPSS will expire on
May 31, 2007. This date is fixed by SPSS and cannot be prorated.
SPSS for Windows (versions 13.0 to 14.0 for Windows XP, 2000, ME and 98) and Macintosh (versions 10.0.8 to 11.0.4 for Mac)
computers are available to Columbia University Health Sciences faculty and staff only through Information Commons. Please
be sure to check the system requirements for both version 14.0 for Windows and
version 11.0.4 for Mac to verify that your computer will
meet the requirements before purchasing. Information Commons is not responsible for incompatibilities
and cannot give refunds due to this, please contact us prior to submitting a license request if you have any questions.

Note:
The Columbia University Medical School's bookstore carries the SPSS Graduate Pack for purchase by students only. You must
have a valid Columbia student ID to purchase the software. This includes a 4 year license, the current version is SPSS 14.

Information Commons provides this license as a service to the Columbia Medical Center
community. Please refer to our site license policies prior to purchasing SPSS. We offer some telephone support for installing
SPSS and for license renewals. The licensee is responsible for maintaining and operating his or her own hardware and operating
system.

In addition to the cost of the license, all new licensees and those choosing to upgrade to a newer release of
SPSS must purchase a copy of the installation CD for $30.

The current license is valid from 6/1/06 through 5/31/07. The price is fixed and will not be prorated. Documentation is not included and must be purchased separately

How to License SPSS
- Complete the SPSS Site License Agreement web form.
- If purchasing a license renewal by FAS account only, everything can be completed online. After submitting the form you can
follow the instructions to accept and download the license online, no further action is required.
If you need to pick up an SPSS installation kit, the following steps must be completed:
- Once submitted your request will be processed by the IC staff. It takes one day for IC to process your request.
- Prepare payment. Columbia staff and faculty payments must be made from a Columbia University FAS account. Payment information must accompany the licensing agreement. You
must agree to install SPSS on only those machines for which you have paid the license fee. This agreement is subject to auditing by SPSS Inc.
- Come in the following business day, Monday - Friday between 9 am - 8 pm, to pick up your request. A valid Columbia University ID card and Licensee signature will be
required to pick up software.
